I incorporate different modalities in my sessions based on the client's goals for massage therapy. Communication is very important for a healthy, healing experience that will maximize your expectations for the massage session.
The modalities I specialize in are:
- Swedish Massage - a gentle massage with long flowing strokes towards the heart
- Deep Tissue - a form of massage using firm pressure to access deeper layers of the muscle
- Myofascial Release - sustained gentle pressure to soften connective tissue restrictions
- Reflexology - stimulates pressure points on the feet and hands and in combination with massage encourages whole body relaxation and balance
- Pre-Natal Massage - usually side-lying position with bolsters after the first trimester
- Thai for the Table - gentle rocking, compressions and assisted stretches done fully clothed
